ICYMI: Within Days, Milford Man Loses Wife, Newborn Child and Sister

MILFORD, MA—Domingos Fragas married the love of his life on New Year's Eve last year. By the middle of May, he suffered not only the loss of his wife, but of his daughter and sister.

According to a GoFundMe page set up by friends and family (below), Domingos lost his wife, Liz Fragas, 26, on May 6 while giving birth to their daughter Juliet. Juliet died five days later. Only days after suffering the massive loss, Domingos also lost his sister Melinda to cancer. Domingos's grandmother had a stroke this past Sunday,reports The Boston Globe.

The GoFundMe fundraiser brought in nearly $40,000 in donations by Wednesday afternoon.

"I cannot express into words the amazing support in which you have all given me," wrote Domingos on the GoFundMe page. "In this unstable state of mind, keeping me on a straight path in dealing with the loss of my soulmate, my best friend, and my amazingly strong daughter that held out for as long as she did so daddy could know the joy of holding her in his arms, changing her diaper, reading to her at night and listening to music with her as I put her to sleep."
