Man with Ties to Milford Charged with Growing Marijuana

A man with ties to Milford is accused of growing marijuana at his Hopkinton home.
Richard A. Hooker Jr., 33, was arraigned in Framingham District Court and charged with distribution of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to the Milford Daily News. He is free after posting $1,000 bail.
According to prosecutor Eric Haskell, police obtained a search warrant for the home in August and discovered a large-scale grow operation. While he did have a medical marijuana card, police allegedly found much more than the legal limit of 10 ounces.

Police say that a greenhouse contained 59 plants, with another 58 inside the house.
