Medical Emergency at CVS Leads to Arrest of Milford Man in Housebreak

A man’s medical emergency led authorities to the arrest of a Milford man who police say broke into a home on Nottingham Road in Westborough last week, stealing guns, jewelry and ammunition.

Westborough police had been investigating the house break, which happened on Sept. 14, on Nottingham, during which two handguns, five rifles, a large amount of ammunition, and jewelry was taken.

Two days later, on Sept. 16, police and paramedics responded to CVS at 500 Grafton St. in Worcester for a medical emergency. While searching for identification during the emergency, police located two handguns and assorted jewelry in the man’s backpack. Michael Ostaski, 33, 2 Simon Dr., Milford, was subsequently arrested, charging him with receiving stolen property, along with outstanding warrants. Additional charges will also be sought against Ostaski related to the Westborough housebreak.

There are still 5 rifles and ammunition that were stolen that have not been recovered.
