Micky Ward Charities to Host Annual Bike Run, BBQ in Milford Next Month

Team Micky Ward Charities is set to sponsor its sixth annual Bike Run/BBQ early next month with the day-long event taking place at the Italian American Veterans Club, 4 Hayward Field in Milford.

The event will run from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. Biker registration will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., with the barbecue to be served around 3 p.m.

The bike run will leave at noon the day of the event, with the first stop to be at Waterfront Mary’s in Webster, then the Greenhouse Pub in Mendon. The final stop will be back at the club in Milford for the barbecue, live music, raffles a tribute honoring military personnel at the event.

The cost is $20 per person for general admission, and there will also be a $10 fee for bike passengers. For more information and/or to purchase tickets, call 508-446-1983 or 508-294-2022.

The nonprofit offers financial assistance to children and families in need. T-shirt sponsorships start at $20, and the sponsor with the highest donation will have their name on the sleeve of the shirts. Checks can be made out to “Team Micky Ward Charities.
