Dancer from Milford to Perform at the Metropolitan Opera

Taylor Gordon, a professional ballerina raised in Milford, will perform beginning next week as part of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. The production — Manon — will be broadcast at noon on April 7 in movie theaters across the country, so people can watch at the theaters in Bellingham.

The production at the Lincoln Center in New York is a career highlight for Gordon, who was born in Milford but moved away as a young teen to attend a professional dance school, according to a biography on her website. Gordon lives in New York and is a writer and teacher, as well as a professional dancer.

Manon will be performed at the Lincoln Center for several weeks, beginning with an opening gala on Monday, and extending through April 23.
