Milford Fire Displaces Residents Of Lee Street Duplex
Milford fire officials said the fire started in the kitchen, but not on the stove.
MILFORD, MA — A fire at a two family home on Lee Street displaced the residents of one of the dwellings on Tuesday, according to Milford fire officials. No one was injured in the fire.
The fire broke out just before noon at duplex on Lee Street. The department requested mutual aid from neighboring fire departments, according to the administrator. Fire officials said the fire started in the kitchen, most likely in the walls, and was not suspicious. The fire was put out in 15 minutes, according to officials.
The homeowner was able safely get out of the house and no firefighters were injured. Officials said there was extensive smoke and heat damage in the home and the residents will not be able to stay there overnight.
