Temple Beth Shalom, 55 West Pine St., is seeking permission from the Select Board to set up a menorah at Draper Memorial Park. The temple also wants to hold a gathering to light the first candle on the first night of Hanukkah. Meanwhile, Citizens for Milford is holding its sixth annual Christmas tree lighting on Dec. 3 after <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/milford-ma/christmas-returns-milford-2021-tree-lighting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">skipping the event in 2020</a>. The downtown Milford menorah lighting will happen at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 28. Hanukkah lasts eight days and nights, and a new candle on the menorah being lit each night through Dec. 6.
