Milford To Host Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Milford residents will have another opportunity this month to safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications.

MILFORD, MA — Milford residents will have another opportunity this month to safely dispose of unwanted prescription medications.

The Milford Police Department and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will hold National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 24. Medications can be dropped off outside the front entrance of the Milford Senior Center, 60 North Bow St.

The collection is intended to prevent unused medications from being diverted, misused or accidentally ingested. Authorities also discourage flushing medications or throwing them in the trash because of potential health, safety and environmental risks.
