Milford Man Accused of Stealing Truck, Credit Cards, Held on Bail

A Milford man charged with stealing a truck and credit cards was arraigned Thursday in Milford District Court.

Amouri Canuto Araujo, 19, was charged by the Milford Police Department with two counts of breaking and entering a vehicle in the nighttime for a felony, two counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of credit card fraud, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny over $250, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He had two outstanding warrants out of Waltham. He was ordered held on $2,000 cash bail according to the Milford Daily News.

Tuesday, Araujo allegedly broke into a vehicle on Pond Street, stealing several credit cards, $175 in cash, and personal belongings from the vehicle. Later that night, he allegedly stole a truck.

According to credit card records, Araujo used the stolen cards at the Medway Road McDonald’s, gas stations in Milford and Canton, and at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Canton. Police said security footage from the McDonald’s shows Araujo ordering food.

Araujo was arrested Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express in Milford. Police found 11 credit cards, a license, and a duffel bag full of stolen items.
