Milford Man Accused Of Trying To Stab Roommate: Police

A 911 caller told police that the man had grabbed a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill them and their family members.

MILFORD, MA — Alexandre Leite, a 52-year-old from Milford, is facing charges he was accused of trying to stab his roommate at a home on Fells Avenue on Sunday evening, according to the Milford Police Department.

At around 4:37 p.m., a 911 caller reported that their roommate was trying to stab them. Officers arrived at the home and found Leite, who told them no disturbance had occurred at the residence, police said.

Officers then spoke with the caller, who told them that Leite had grabbed a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill them and their family members, police said.

The two struggled over the knife before the caller was able to get to safety, and Leite exited the residence, police said.

Leite has been charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), assault and battery on a household member, threats to commit a crime, and a warrant arrest.

He is currently being held on bail at the Milford Police Department pending an arraignment at Milford District Court.
