Milford Man Faces Cocaine Charges After Police Search

Police said he tried to flee as officers executed a search warrant a Milford residence.

MILFORD, MA — A 24-year-old Milford man is facing drug charges after police searched a Prospect Heights residence.

Davi De Oliveira Silva is facing charges after Milford police concluded an investigation into cocaine distribution on Thursday. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a Class B drug, violating drug laws near a school or park and resisting arrest.

Members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau, Patrol Division, K-9 Unit and Special Operations Team executed the search warrant at about 5:52 p.m., police said.

Police said De Oliveira Silva also attempted to flee as officers approached the residence but was quickly apprehended with help from the K-9 Unit and patrol officers.

“This investigation is a testament to the dedication of our detectives and supporting officers who work tirelessly to identify those responsible for bringing these dangerous drugs into Milford,” Police Chief Robert Tusino said. “We remain committed to aggressively pursuing anyone who chooses to profit from the sale of illegal narcotics in our town.”
