Milford Metal Collection Stickers Move To Waste And Recycling Department
Milford residents looking to schedule curbside metal collection will now need to go through a different town office.
MILFORD, MA — Milford residents looking to schedule curbside metal collection will now need to go through a different town office.
Scheduling and pickup requests for curbside metal collection are no longer being handled by the Milford Board of Health as of Wednesday, according to a Board of Health update. Residents who need to schedule a pickup or buy a collection sticker should go to the Milford Waste & Recycling Department at 30 Front St., located at the Highway Department.
Metal collection stickers are available at 30 Front St. and payment is by check only, according to the Board of Health. Curbside metal collections take place on Thursdays.

Curbside metal collection fees include $20 for appliances, air conditioners and dehumidifiers, $15 for gas grills, exercise equipment and TVs 35 inches or less and $10 for bicycles and two-drawer file cabinets, according to the town.

The change comes ahead of a broader shift in town oversight of curbside rubbish and recycling. Milford’s curbside rubbish and recycling program is moving from the Board of Health to the Highway Department on July 1, although residents will not see changes to regular service.
