Milford Police: Alleged Shoplifter Fled Scene with Truck Driver

Sunday, Dec. 14
At 12:15 a.m., a caller from Depot Street Tavern heard a man screaming and swearing as he walked up Depot Street toward South Main Street. The male was wearing a white hoodie.
At 12:23 a.m., a caller reported loud music coming from an apartment on Pearl Street. The caller again reported loud music coming from the same apartment at 1:50 a.m.
At 5:28 a.m., a caller reported that the door in the back of the Dollar Tree on Medway Road was ajar and the alarm kept sounding.
At 6:23 a.m., the owner of a Prentice Avenue location stated there have been snow ban violations every night on his street. He was informed that the vehicles there have permits.
At 8:50 a.m., a female fell in the dairy section of the Shaws on Prospect Street. She requested lift assistance.
At 1:29 p.m., local police reported that a female customer in the Kohl’s on Medway Road had stolen jewelry on her. The female was described as a blonde in her late-20s wearing a black The North Face jacket, blue jeans and a purple purse. She fled on foot into the nearby McDonald’s before getting into a truck in the Mobil/Kmart lot and leaving with the driver. The driver was charged and identified as Keith Gordon Dewar of Milford. The alleged shoplifter, Krystie Fayard of 307 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham, was arrested.
