Milford Police Arrest Man for Possessing 33 Grams of Heroin

Thursday, July 31
At 1 a.m. police arrested Marcos Serra, 18, of Uxbridge, on several charges of breaking and entering a vehicle/boat nighttime for felony and larceny of more than $250.
At 1:31 a.m., a caller reported that he woke up and found his door and window open in his residence on Archer Avenue.

At 5:31 a.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle that struck a light pole outside of Bronx Bagel on East Main Street.
At 9:30 a.m., police engaged in a surveillance effort arrested a 41-year-old man for heroin possession and trafficking. According to Milford Police Det. Robert C. Pavia, officers conducted surveillance of the man known to be involved in drug activity and as part of the surveillance, observed the man enter a vehicle with another male and female inside. The vehicle drove down East Main Street, then took a left on Cedar Street and pulled into a nearby bike path parking lot. After entering the woods, the two males returned to the vehicle and drove off, eventually ending up in the Wendy’s parking lot. As officers approached the vehicle, they saw the front seat passenger throw a large bag containing 43 smaller bags of heroin, totaling about 33 grams. Police subsequently arrested Jose Cerezo Couvertier, 41, address unknown, for possession of a Class A drug to distribute and trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium.

At 10:56 a.m., police requested an ambulance to help transport a man to the hospital after he’d been seen running around in the area of Green Street with no clothes on.
At 2:50 p.m., police received a report of a man in the area of Highland and North Vine streets wearing camouflage and a gas mask with a backpack. Officers spoke to the individual, a 14-year-old male, whom they determined was wearing a costume.
At 6:21 p.m., police received a report that items were stolen from a female’s purse while at work.
At 7:27 p.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run involving a vehicle that reported left the scene in front of The Pizza Chef on South Main Street.
At 10:54 p.m., police received a report that an ATM at the Bank of America on Prospect Street was observed to be moved from its original location and a white van had been seen in the parking lot, which the caller reported as suspicious. Police responded and discovered the ATM had been undergoing maintenance and the person on scene was an employee.
