Milford Police Saves Two From Heroin Overdose
The two men overdosed while in a vehicle at the intersection of Prospect and Water Streets.

Two men who overdosed on a strong heroin now owe their lives to the Milford Police Department.
Wednesday night, the men, a 46-year-old from Mendon and a 48-year-old from Milford, were revived with the help of Narcan after passing out at a red light.

At 9:19 p.m., police received a call reporting a driver in a GMC Envoy on Route 140 who was operating erratically. Shortly later, both men in the Envoy went unconscious at the intersection of Prospect and Water Streets.
When the driver went unconscious, he did so with his foot on the break of his car at the traffic light.

After police arrived, several doses of Narcan were administered to revive the men and reverse the overdoses.
The men eventually regained consciousness and were transported to the hospital.
Both men will be summonsed to court. The Mendon man will be summonsed for possession of a Class A drug while the Milford man received a summons for drugged driving, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, marked lanes violation, possession of an open container in a vehicle, failure to stop/yield, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
