Milford Neighborhoods Hit With White Supremacist Newspaper

Breaking: Chief Tom O'Loughlin said that a neighborhood was hit with copies of The Crusader weeks ago; now a second neighborhood was hit.

MILFORD, MA—About four weeks ago, copies of the KKK newspaper "The Crusader" was thrown in the driveways of one of Milford's neighborhoods, and residents in another neighborhood are now complaining that it happened again over the weekend.

"Just over a month ago some unknown person(s) placed a newspaper from a white supremacist group in the driveways of residents on three streets," Milford Police Chief Tom O'Loughlin told Patch. "Milford police detectives conducted an investigation and determined that this was done in a manner that it was not targeting any one person in violation of their civil rights, thus it is an activity that is protected by the First Amendment."

O’Loughlin told the Boston Globe that the papers appeared to have been delivered late night, and tossed into driveways. He said that he, too, had received the paper, as did the Milford Daily News.

O'Loughlin threw the paper away, and asked his department's detectives to investigate the possibility that a minority group had been targeted, said Fox 25 News, adding that while it is personally offensive, it is also protected by the Constitution.

The paper is published by Thomas Robb, the national director of the Knights Party, which is also known as the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, according to Wikipedia. He is a pastor at the Christian Revival Center, and publishes the Crusader out of Harrison, AK. O'Loughlin said that the newspaper addressed to him had an AK return address.
