Milford Schools Announces New Athletic Director
Milford will welcome the new director with a reception on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Milford Public Schools Superintendent Robert A. Tremblay announced Monday that Peter Boucher has been selected as the system’s new athletic director.
Boucher, who will gradually assume his responsibilities over the next few weeks, comes to Milford from Canton, Mass., where he has served as the principal of the Lt. Peter M. Hansen Elementary School for the last three years. Boucher also has experience in Wrentham, Mass., where he twice served as the interim athletic director for the King Philip Regional School District before filling athletic director roles at the middle, high and community college levels in Florida.
“Milford is very fortunate to have Mr. Boucher join our administrative team,” Tremblay said in a press release. “His enthusiasm, leadership experience as an administrator and athletic director, his passion for health and wellness, and his desire to help our student athletes achieve excellence both on and off the field will benefit the entire Milford community.”

Boucher said in the press release that he is “ecstatic and honored” to be coming to Milford.
“This is an amazing opportunity for me to join a school district that has exhibited championship expectations related to character, academics, activities and athletics,” he said. “I plan to reach out to a variety of students, staff, families and community members over the next few months and years to further encourage these expectations for excellence.”
The public is invited to a welcome reception for Boucher on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Milford High School media center.
