Milford Woman Arrested on Prostitution Charges

A Milford woman was arrested on prostitution charges Monday night after an incident that saw a Rhode Island man attempt to run over a police officer.
Janna Tardif, 24, of Milford, was charged with sexual conduct for a fee and conspiracy.
Police discovered Tardif after she posted an advertisement on a website promoting sexual favors for $250. After agreeing to meet with an undercover police officer, she admitted that she intended to steal money from the men that she was meeting with. Previously, this was done on three occasions and she intended to do the same with the undercover officer.

While Tardif was taken into custody without incident, her accomplice, Mark Briggs, 29, of Providence R.I., was charged with conspiracy, assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and numerous vehicle violations after fleeing the scene and allegedly driving at an officer upon his return. He was later apprehended on Route 495 after a foot chase.
