Sammarco was taken into custody after failing several field sobriety and Breathalyzer tests. Her license was suspended for 180 days.
Defense attorney Meryl Kukura said Sammarco has been unemployed since September and living in Milford. She called the incident ”a relapse of sorts,” noting that her last OUI was 21 years ago.
While awaiting trial, Sammarco will live with her brother in Needham and must wear a GPS device and a device that monitors her sobriety.
If she is found guilty, Sammarco faces a minimum of two and a half years in jail.
