Milford Woman Punched Friend In Face Over $20: Police

Her friend who was punched was a disabled woman who used a cane to walk due to a battle with cancer.

MILFORD, MA — A dispute between friends over $20 ended with one woman punched in the face and the other arrested. Milford police arrested Laureen Huckle on Tuesday and charged her with assault and battery on a disabled or elderly person.

A witness to the incident told police, Huckle came to her friend's apartment, angry because she said her friend owed her $20 and forced her way in. The witness told police Huckle attacked her friend, who was bleeding from her left hand and had a swollen eye when police showed up, although she denied medical attention.

The witness was able to breakup the fight but told police Huckle left shortly after and headed to TD's Pub on Water Street, according to the police report. Her friend who was hit, uses an oxygen tank for her COPD and told police she is disabled and uses a cane to walk, according to the police report.
