Obituaries: Guido Alberto, Vivian Martello, Patricia McArdle

Milford has lost two lifelong residents and a third who had lived here for 20 years.

Guido J. Alberto, 89, died Friday, Nov. 30. He was a lifelong resident of Milford, graduating with Milford High School, Class of 1942. He served in the Navy and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Wellesley until his retirement. He was a member of the Forgiano Club and of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn T. (Schwaab) Alberto in 1991, and is survived by two daughters, Linda Lyrist and Karen Alberto, both of Milford and one granddaughter.

His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the with burial to follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Vivian B. (Markakis) Martello, 91, of Danielson, CT and formerly of Milford, died Dec. 1. Born in Milford, she attended and graduated from Milford schools. She worked at GE Telechron Co. in Ashland and later at Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham until her retirement. She spent the last four years living in Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, John Martello in 1982, and is survived by two sons and five grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Lower Chapel of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass at Edwards Funeral Home.

Patricia (Donnison) McArdle, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 5. Born in New York, she moved to Milford in 1993. She was predeceased by her husband, James F. McArdle, in 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon, with whom she lived in Milford. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

Her funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
