Police Log: Abandoned Car, Shoplifting, and More

July 28

9:11 a.m. - An abandoned car with no tags was reported by Town Fair Tire on Medway Road. Police stated that the store would call local merchants in an attempt to locate the owner.

9:20 a.m. - A car that struck a few signs on Depot Street by South Main Street was reported.

10:52 a.m. - A caller on Pinewood Road reported a bike in an adjacent field that had been there for 3 weeks.

1:50 p.m. - A stolen tablet on Hancock Street was reported.

3:28 p.m. - A two-car accident was reported on East Main Street by Beach Street.

3:57 p.m. - A vehicle break-in was reported on Main Street by Park Terrace.

7:30 p.m. - A 22-year-old female from Milford who allegedly took a necklace at Kohl’s received a summons for shoplifting by concealing merchandise and larceny under $250.

7:52 p.m. - A caller reported a male who was caught shoplifting at Shaw’s on Prospect Street. The manager advised the male that he is no longer welcome on the property.
