Police Log: The Accidental 911 Call Meant for Portugal, Balloons Blow Fuse, and More

January 17
6:13 a.m. - A caller on South Bow Street stated that his neighbor from upstairs kicked his door and entered his house yelling at him, trying to start a fight. The caller stated that the subject was highly intoxicated. When police arrived, the 25-year-old male from Milfrod was taken into protectiv custody.
8:54 a.m. - Two callers reported a single-car accident at the intersection of Beaver Street and Maple Street.

11:09 a.m. - Milford Fire responded to a hot water boiler that exploded at Countryside Health Care of Milford on Countryside Drive.
5:24 p.m. - A woman allegedly attacked staff with sissors at Milford Hospital. The woman, a 50-year-old from Milford, was issued a summons for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

January 18
11:27 a.m. - A caller on West Street stated that they accidentally dialed 911 while attempting to dial a number in Portugal.
11:45 a.m. - The caller reported balloons stuck to a pole on Main Street and catching on fire. The balloons caused a fuse to blow. A NStar tech coming from Ashland reposonded to the call.
1:05 p.m. - The caller found a bunch of credit cards on the ground near Kmart on Medway Road.
1:31 p.m. - A two-car accident on Medway Road was reported.
5:26 p.m. - A stolen wallet at Homegoods on East Main Street was reported.
