Police Log: Crews Respond to Early Morning Car Fire on Quinlan Street

Wednesday, Aug. 6
At 12:54 a.m., police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Ira Toyota on Fortune Boulevard. Officers spoke to the operator, whom they deemed worked for security at the business.
At 3:32 a.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle on fire on Quinlan Street. Fire crews responded and found the vehicle to be fully-involved near a structure. Art’s Towing was also requested to the scene. No injuries were reported.

At 8:02 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident near Oliva’s Market on East Main Street.
At 9:04 a.m., a caller reported that someone had set fire to the awning on her patio.

At 12:49 p.m., a caller reported having arrived home to find her bulkhead open. The door to the basement was reportedly locked, and as such it did not appear entry was made.
At 1:56 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of Applebee’s on Medway Road. No injuries were reported.
At 3:02 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of the Comfort Inn on Fortune Boulevard.
At 3:22 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of Milford Hospital on Prospect Street.
At 4:25 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident near The Learning Experience on East Main Street.
At 7:25 p.m., a caller reported a camping tent was set up in the rear of Midtown Family Fitness along a bike path in the area. Officers responded and located the tent, finding “rusted cans” inside but determined it did not appear anyone had been living inside.
At 9:31 p.m., officers arrested Javiar Guzman, 32, of Lawrence, on a warrant.
At 9:58 p.m., a caller reported hearing what sounded like gunshots in the area of Woodland Elementary on North Vine Street.
