Police Log: Officers Investigate Suspicious Flashing Light at Dollar Tree
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.
Wednesday, June 4
At 1:26 a.m., Milford police received a report of a "flashing amber strobe light" near Dollar Tree on South Mai Street. Next to the light, officers found a sign that read "If flashing, please contact this number," and officers made contact with the company in charge. Investigation showed that everything at the building was secure, and a property manager told police that there have been issues with a pump at the building.
At 6:03 a.m., police responded to the area of Cedar Street near Rte. I-495 on a report of a two-car accident involving a silver Nissan and a blue white van. Police subsequently arrested Segundo Loja, 36, of Milord, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for taking an improper turn.

At 8:22 a.m., police received a report that a trailer parked in the area of Church Street needed to be removed. Officers responded and found a lock and chain on both the rear wheel and trailer hitch, and a message was left for the owner to give police a call as soon as possible.
At 9:52 a.m., police received a report of a fraudulent call from someone claiming to be from the IRS to a resident on Taft Street.

At 11:38 a.m., police received a report from Medway Police regarding an erratic driver in the area of Medway Road, where a black pickup truck was reportedly all over the roadway. A second caller reported that the truck had been driving up 495 via Exit 19.
At 12:31 p.m., police received a report that someone had thrown a rock through a windshield on Poplar Street.
At 12:50 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle was broken into while parked at Shaw's. Money was reportedly taken from the trunk of the vehicle, according to police.
At 2:30 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Beaver Street involving a large silver truck and a tractor-trailer unit.
At 3:07 p.m., police received a report that a vehicle had crashed into a pole on Howard Street. No injuries were reported.
At 3:54 p.m., police received a report of a vandalism in regards to a car that had white paint on it while on Jefferson Street.
At 5:18 p.m., police pulled over a Toyota Tacoma in the area of Church Street and Bancroft Avenue, where they arrested Jefrey Rondeau, 56, of Whitinsville, for driving with a suspended license (subsequent offense).
