Police Log: Power Lines on Fire, Shoplifting and More

June 21
3:38 a.m. - A caller reported loud music and a party on Oliver Street.
6:54 a.m. - A caller reported wires smoking on Dilla Street due to a branch on the power lines. There were small flames that did stop. National Grid was notified of the issue.

11:51 a.m. - A two-car crash was reported on East Main Street.
1:37 p.m. - An officer stated that a male at Shaw’s on Prospect Street attempted to leave the store with unpaid items. The officer escorted him back into the business and the male paid without incident.

1:48 p.m. - A caller at Panera Bread on Medway Road told police that someone stole multiple items out of her purse including a checkbook and insurance while she was dining.
