Police Log: Vandalism Reported at Milford Country Club

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Tuesday, Aug. 12

At 6:49 a.m., a caller reported vandalism to the Milford Country Club, as management claimed someone may have been drinking beer on the green by Building #4. Extra patrols were requested.

At 10:30 a.m., a caller reported that seven trailers were stolen off a property on South Bow Street. The trailers were reportedly “of little value” and it was not clear when they were stolen.

At 11:30 a.m., police received a report of a three-car accident in the lot by Stop and Shop on East Main Street.

At 12:32 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious-looking male in a parking lot on Pheasant Circle. Officers spoke with the man, who passed a field interview and who police determined was simply trying to make his way to Mendon to see a relative.

At 4:49 p.m., a caller reported that he found his mailbox on the ground off the post, but the mailbox had not sustained any damage. The post had been knocked off around 11 p.m. the night before, according to police records.

At 5:05 p.m., the owner of Rosa’s Villa Pizza requested an officer regarding an alleged phone scam.

At 7:35 p.m., a caller reported that her daughter’s laptop was stolen on Woodhill Street.

At 9:53 p.m., a caller reported that about 30 youths were in the cemetery, possibly drinking alcohol in the area of Praire and Gillon streets. Officers responded and found 15 youths in the area, but none were drinking alcohol. All were removed from the area.
