Police Log: Youths Asked to Leave Quarries Behind Shadowbrook Complex

Tuesday, Aug. 19
At 2:23 a.m., Evergreen Auto Recovery repossessed a vehicle on Central Street on behalf of Ford Motor Credit Company, according to Milford police records.
At 12:41 p.m., a caller reported that a man exited his vehicle while at McDonald’s on Medway Road and began yelling at an older man about the way he’d been driving through the parking lot.

At 1:15 p.m., officers reported a vehicle had been in the roadway in the area of Finley Court and S. Bow Street for several days with flat tires. Officers were unable to make contact with the vehicle’s owner, and subsequently left a card on the window, asking the owner to contact police.
At 2:28 p.m., officers reported about eight youths at the quarries behind the Shadowbrook Condominium complex. Police asked the youths to leave the area.

At 5:46 p.m., Milford Hospital reported a parking violation; the vehicle in question was subsequently removed.
At 6:08 p.m., police received a report of an accident on Congress Street involving a vehicle crashing into a pole. No injuries were reported, and National Grid was contacted to analyze the damage of the pole.
At 6:55 p.m., a caller reported that a man who appeared to be in his 20s was looking through windows at Central Street Auto Repair and trying to open car doors. Officers checked the area and found that the business was still open and an employee there matched the description of the individual.
At 7:08 p.m., a caller reported two youths were going door to door on Deluca Road and saying they were looking for home improvement but were unable to show identification or permits. Officers located the youths and advised them to stop.
At 8:33 p.m., a caller reported a vehicle had struck a pole on Congress Street. No injuries were reported, and National Grid was contacted.
