Police: Woman Crashed Car in Milford While on Drugs

Police say a woman from Sanford, Maine was under the influence of drugs while driving on Route 495 in Milford Wednesday morning.

Danika-Leigh Chapman, 30, was charged with operating under the influence of narcotics according to the Massachusetts State Police.

At about 6:59 a.m., state police responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Route 495 North by exit 20 in Milford. A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2014 Toyota Yaris was traveling north when the operation lost control of the car, swerved right, hit the guardrail, and rolled onto the grass to the right of the roadway.

Chapman, along with a 36-year-old male from Windham, Maine and a 27-year-old male from Weymouth sustained minor injuries and were transported to Milford Hospital.

The right travel lane of Route 495 north was closed.
