Rite Aid Employee Helps Customer Avoid Expensive Scam: Milford Police

Monday, March 7

9 a.m.: Accident at 23 Freedom St. with a mini van and car. Da Paz Nayara, 26, 48 Arlington St., Worcester, was arrested and charged with following too closely, unlicensed operation of MV

11:56 a.m.: Rp reporting back door has been broken and multiple tools stolen, 6 Prentice Ave.

2:38 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance at 11 Westbook St. Caller requesting assistance as she is at the above attempting to get her daughter to leave and a roommate there kicked her.

3:10 p.m.: Police respond to reports of a possible fight at the Town Park on Congress Street. Caller reporting fight near the basketball court, male party possibly with a knife. Officer reporting possibly 4 hispanic males in a gray car. Officer reports possible victim has a black sweatshirt and ADIDAS backpack. Officer dropped male juvenile victim off to 60 Central Street and put him in the custody of his mother

3:16 p.m.: Walk in would like to speak with an officer about a dying family member and how the laws work to try and gain entry to the home.

4:27 p.m.: Caller reports she lost her gold ring in Hannaford's parking lot and was asking if the ring was turned in. It was not but caller was told there would be a log entry for the lost property.

5:01 p.m.: Police take report of fraud. Caller reporting that he received a phone call from someone claiming to be the police the person claiming to be the officer stated that his brother was in a car accident and now requires bail money. Caller stated he was going to send western union at rite aid when the employee told him it was scam.

5:08 p.m.: Accident at 9 Cedar St. Matias Nugra-Guallpa, 35, 92 Court Ave., Woonsocket, RI, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a MV, failure to use care in starting and stopping, backing

6:29 p.m.: Police respond to reports of vandalism, 26 Depot St. Caller reports garage door kicked in.
