Selectmen Hope to Change IT Structure

New recommendations from Selectman Bill Buckley could help put to sleep what has been a nightmare for the town when it comes to the position of information technology director.

With four different people holding the position shared by the school and the town since 2010, Buckley recommended having the position managed by the Finance Department rather than the Town Administrator and Milford Public Schools Superintendent according to the Milford Daily News.

Member of the board also said the town should obtain an assessment from Mass IT. The idea was floated on Thursday during a Milford School Committee meeting.

The board could vote on the recommendations as early as next week.
