In the Spirit of Thanksgiving: Keep Milford's Food Pantry in Mind

There are people around you in need. A reminder about how and where give to your local pantry.

MILFORD, MA—Before you load up your cart with stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, vegetables and pies, remember there are people in your own area who are struggling to put food on the table every day.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Patch is reminding residents about the Daily Bread Food Pantry, where you can donate or volunteer to help Milford residents, and also utilize services if you are in need.

Trinity Church was one of the six churches who joined together to found the Daily Bread Food Pantry, 21 Exchange St., in 1991. The Pantry is run totally by volunteers and is funded by donations of food and money from local churches, businesses, civic groups and individuals.

Food can be left in baskets at the back of the church each Sunday, or it can be taken directly to the Pantry on Monday evenings between 6-8 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-11 a.m. Trinity has a rotating list of volunteers who deliver the food every Monday. Volunteers also help pack the food for clients or supervise on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m.

Here's where you can donate and find out more about volunteering.
