Parents are the recipients of many of these messages. Texting is illegal while driving in Massachusetts, for adults and teens, but enforcement is rare. However, last week, for texting while driving.
The survey showed:
- 40 percent of teens who text while driving send more than 10 messages a day from behind the wheel.
