VIDEO: A Ceremony to Celebrate Life
The Tree of Life celebration, held Monday at Milford Regional Medical Center, supports people who have survived cancer and remembers those who died. The event drew several hundred people and raised money for patient support services.
The annual drew several hundred people to for a celebration of life and surviving cancer. Patients and former patients attended the event, which included entertainment, refreshments and the symbolic lighting of the , at the corner of Prospect and Main streets.
Sale of luminaria in the weeks leading up to the event will benefit the Oliva Patient Comfort Fund, which provides services for patients and their families.
