1. . Five Guys is scheduled to open in the Hannaford shopping area, on a site facing Medway Road, on Aug. 22. This is a national chain, based in Viginia, known for selling burgers made from fresh groundbeef. Contractors were finishing installing ductwork this week. The restaurant in Milford is now hiring through an online site. Visit www.fiveolsons.com if you are interested.
2. , 163 Main St. This new downtown restaurant opened recently, and features Italian style pizza, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and chicken and shrimp dishes. The owner is Ernane Andrade Bomfim.

3. Adirondack Smoke House Deli, 134 S. Main St., opened this spring on a site opposite Gasco. The deli features smoked meats, barbecue, whole chickens, and a large selection of smoked cheeses and meats for carry-out. It's recently received several from Patch readers, too.
