Milford's Board of Assessors is hiring a couple of positions.

The Town of Milford is seeking qualified applicants to fill the positions of assistant to the assessor and departmental clerk for the Board of Assessors.

Job descriptions for both positions are available on the town website or by clicking the links in this article. Interested individuals must submit their resumes to the Board of Assessors by 5 p.m. on Nov. 19.

Briefly, the assistant to the assessor’s responsibilities include a “variety of administrative, secretarial and clerical duties for the assessor’s office” including budget tracking and supervising the daily work flow of clerical support staff.

The departmental clerk position involves the processing of motor vehicle excise tax bills and payments as well as working with the abatement process among other tasks.

Each position requires the applicant to have the equivalent of a high school education with a specialization in business courses and prefers that applicants have some experience in an assessor’s office.
