Who's Running In Milford: Candidates Who Have Pulled Papers

Nomination season is on now for Milford's 2022 town election. See who might run this spring.

MILFORD, MA — Nomination season for the 2022 Milford election is underway, and many candidates have already pulled papers to run this spring.

Candidates were able to start pulling papers to run on Jan. 3. They have until Feb. 11 to pick up papers, and signatures must be returned by Feb. 15, according to the Town Clerk. The spring election happens on April 5.

On Monday, Select Board member Paul Mazzuchelli picked up papers to run for another term on the Board of Health, and Derrick Sobers picked up papers to run for one of two seats on School Committee up for election in 2022.

Last week, School Committee member John Erickson and two-time School Committee candidate RJ Sheedy pulled papers to run in 2022. Sheedy is almost an incumbent: he was appointed in August to the School Committee seat previously held by James Ligor and is now running for full term.

As of Jan. 6, incumbent Library Trustee Stephanie Abisla and incumbent Select Board member Michael Walsh both pulled reelection papers. Newcomer Jose Morais pulled papers to run for one of two Planning Board seats up in 2022.

Leonard Marcone Jr. has also pulled papers to run for a seat on the Sewer Commission. Sewer Commissioner Richard J. Cenedella is the only incumbent from that board up for election this year. And in the five-way constable race, incumbents Nadine Ladeau and Raymond Pagucci Jr. have both picked up papers.
