Milford Woman Arrested In Hit-and-Run Of Framingham Boy

Breaking: A woman has been arrested in connection with the hit and run that killed a Framingham boy.

MILFORD, MA—Police have made an arrest in connection with the hit and run that killed a four-year-old Framingham boy on Easter Day, April 16, in Milford.

Melissa Knight, 54, Depot Road, Milford, has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash after causing injuries that caused death and misleading a police investigation.

Jonathan Loja, 4, was killed when he ran onto Water Street while playing in his grandmother's yard on Easter Day.

Police originally searched for a red Scion they believed had been at the scene during the time of the crash, but dismissed it, ultimately focusing on two other vehicles, narrowing it down to one.

Knight was placed under arrest by detectives in Newton around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.
