Woodland Elementary Going Solar By End Of The Year: Milford Schools
It'll be the first school in town to go green.
MILFORD, MA—Officials are working on a contract with Solect Energy out of Hopkinton to lease roof space for equipment and sell power back to the Woodland Elementary School, according to reports.
The school would be the first school in Milford to have solar panels, reports the Milford Daily News. The project could save the schools more than $300,000 over 20 years, and Woodland was chosen because it is a new building.
