Bernie Sanders in Milton: What You Need to Know

The senator from Vermont will hold a campaign rally at Milton High School Monday.

MILTON, MA - The countdown to Super Tuesday is on and Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders is aiming to make Massachusetts feel the Bern with a rally in Milton.

The Vermont senator will be at Milton High School Monday afternoon for a campaign rally. Sanders, who currently trails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the delegate count, is hoping for some momentum in Massachusetts, where he currently trains Clinton by 1.5 percent lead according to the Real Clear Politics average of polls. In the last two polls, Clinton has come out with leads of five and eight points.

PARKING

With several thousand expected for the rally, the Milton Police asks that you take note of the following details:

  • Parking lots open at 3 p.m.
  • Milton residents in the abutting Milton High School neighborhoods are asked to walk and use the Channing Lane entrance.. The same ease of entrance will apply to those neighbors on the Meagher Ave. Bridge side, with direct access to the MHS campus.
  • Public parking will be allowed in the front lot as well as the entire lower campus lot and along one side of Gile Road from the first police traffic checkpoint to the football field gate.
  • Public parking will be allowed along the entire length of Blue Hills Parkway adjacent to the high school campus with pedestrian access through the Parkway driveway.
  • Some additional parking will be available on Indian Spring Road, with pedestrian access on Gile Road.
  • No parking is allowed on Canton Avenue.

DON’T FORGET TO VOTE!

Like many other states, Massachusetts voters will head to the polls on Tuesday. Voting locations in Milton will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
