The Health Care Cost Containment Act was designed to save the Commonwealth an estimated $200 billion over 15 years by increasing regulation and transparency within Massachusetts’ health care system. The grant for BIDH-Milton was part of a $20 million program included in the bill by the Legislature to assist health care providers in complying with the new fiscal regulations. The funding will allow BIDH-Milton to focus on patient-centered care, stronger patient engagement, health education to promote health and wellness, integration of primary care and behavioral health, and process improvement.
