Blue Hills Regional Accepting Applications for Construction Projects
Great opportunity for the public
Blue Hills Regional Technical School is accepting applications for residential additions, alterations and repairs for the 2015-16 school year. Applicants must be a resident and property owner for a minimum of five years in one of the nine Blue Hills district towns which include Avon, Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Holbrook, Milton, Norwood, Randolph, and Westwood.
Blue Hills students in the Construction Technology program work on the projects under the direction of a MA licensed Carpentry instructor who is also a licensed Construction Supervisor. The program performs this work at the cost of a twenty-five (25) percent markup on the price of building materials used in the project.
There is a $250.00 non-refundable application fee. Should your project not be selected in year one, the fee qualifies the applicant for consideration during the next four school years, but the application must be renewed each year. Owners must obtain any necessary financing for the project, a complete set of architectural plans, and all necessary permits and variances, etc.
