Boston Man Gets Life in Prison for Milton Murder

Nathaniel Brown of Boston will have no chance of parole.

MILTON, MA - A Boston man convicted of killing Milton resident Jordan Baskin will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Nathaniel Brown, 32 was sentenced in Norfolk Superior Court to life in prison without the chance of parole, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. The Baskin family was present in the court. His mother, aunt and uncle addressed the court in victim impact statements.

Tuesday, Brown was convicted of first-degree murder. In April 2013, Baskin was chased into his home by Brown. Inside, he was stabbed 11 times, including the wound to the heart that proved fatal.

Baskin’s father was in their home on Hudson Street and heard a loud crash from the first floor. When he went downstairs to investigate, he found his dying son and spoke with him before he was overcome by his injuries. Because the parents had been concerned about Jordan’s behavior, there was an audio recording device in the kitchen when their son was chased into the house by Brown. The jury heard the audio recording of part of the altercation, the father coming to his son’s aid and the man’s last moments.

Brown was arrested after he was indicted by a Norfolk County Grand Jury the following September. District Attorney Michael Morrissey said his office spent five months piecing together fingerprint, forensic and other evidence before Brown was indicted

Brown was arrested on Sept. 26, 2013, following a two-day search.
