Comedian Lenny Clarke and hockey legend Ray Bourque will host an evening with Boston sports legends and the first ever Compassionate Patient Care Awards ceremony to celebrate nurses and healthcare workers in Massachusetts on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Labouré College. Alma Wahlberg will chair the event and Boston Bruins’ Bob Sweeney will attend, along with famed sports writer Bill Burt. Ray Bourque is no stranger to helping worthy causes and says, “I am looking forward to a special night with some great people who care about making Labouré College an even better place for those who want and need their nursing degree.”

Award winners and VIP ticket holders will be treated to a VIP reception at the Labouré mansion where they will enjoy the opportunity to meet the celebrity guests and take pictures with Ray Bourque. Bob Sweeney is excited about partnering with Labouré College for the event, saying “Community service is very important me, so when I can help a worthy organization, like Labouré, help students and have fun doing it, I’m all in.”

The event is open to the general public and ticket information can be found at http://www.laboure.edu/events.aspx Additionally, sponsorship opportunities are available. All proceeds from the event will go to the Labouré College Pay It Forward Scholarship Campaign, which assists high achieving nursing and healthcare students with significant financial need.
