Children's Art Makes Me Happy

The thick white coat of fur surrounded by blue eyes and pointy ears made me smile because it looked just like our cat, Cocktail.  This adorable painting was one of hundreds featured in last year's Art in the Windows community-wide project sponsored by the Milton Art Center (MAC).  The program is back again this year, encouraging kids to create art that will be displayed all around town in May. The MAC is looking for 8 groups (10-12 kids in a group, same grade level) The MAC will supply the instruction and provide art supplies, partially funded by the Milton Cultural Arts Council.  Each group needs a parent/guardian to stay with the during art instruction.  "Our goal is to develop an art project that gives our children a voice and a presence in the community" says Joan Clifford, MAC Executive Director.  For more details and to sign up, visit www.miltonartcenter.org now.
