College Bound Dorchester Celebrates with Students at Gala

Board of Directors Member, Paul Connolly, of Milton, celebrated with College Bound Students during the annual "We Are College Bound" Gala.

On May 19, Milton Resident and College Bound Dorchester Board of Directors member Paul Connolly was among the more than 400 hundred people who gathered at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for nonprofits annual gala “We Are College Bound".

The event celebrated the nonprofit’s work using education to end systemic generational poverty. College Bound Dorchester CEO Mark Culliton presented the Champion of the Year Award to Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce President and CEO James Rooney. Also in attendance were Senator Linda Dorcena Forry (D-Dorchester) and Suffolk County Sheriff Steve Tompkins.

For too many, CBD is the last hope for an education and the ability to earn a living wage. The organization turns formerly failing students into role models within their community.
