Coronavirus In Milton: No Playing Basketball In Public Parks
Milton has restricted use of its public basketball hoops tennis and street hockey courts, during the coronavirus health emergency.
MILTON, MA — Milton town officials are reminding residents — including teens home from school during the coronavirus health crisis — that social distancing does not mean basketball. Communities across the region have had to send frequent reminders to residents that the state's "stay-at-home" order means only leaving your house for essential services and for solitary exercise where people remain at least six feet away from each other at all times.
It does mean basketball.
The town has tied up all the nets at the town's public basketball courts and is discouraging anyone from congregated at any public or private location for team sport activities. Town tennis courts and street hockey courts are also locked.

"A gentle reminder with warmer weather approaching this weekend, that #MiltonMA Parks are open ONLY for passive use until further notice," the town reiterated on social media on Thursday. "Please use them for walking and other forms of exercising but congregating is not allowed."
