Don't Be Alarmed Around Curry College In Milton During Tests

Milton residents near the college can expect "wailing tone" during test sequence that should last about five minutes at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MILTON, MA — Milton residents should not be concerned with any loud, wailing alarms coming from the Curry College campus Wednesday afternoon. It is only a test.

Curry will conduct a test of its outdoor warning siren system Wednesday at about 1:30. During testing, Milton residents near the campus may hear approximately three minutes of a "wailing" emergency tone. After that test is confirmed, the siren will sound again for about 30 seconds with the beeping "all clear" tone.

The total test should last about five minutes.

Residents on Bradlee Road, Milton Street West, homes along Blue Hill Avenue and Brush Hill Road near the campus are within the perimeter of the coverage area and will likely hear the alarms on Wednesday.
