While you’re out and about the next few weekends, take a few minutes to stop by Gallery 334 at the Milton Art Center to see “Celebrate Summer 2016!” This group show includes paintings from 14 area artists, with engaging subjects ranging from summer skies, to water and waves, boogie boarders, beaches, woods, flowers portraits, and more.
Despite inclement weather a great crowd was there for the show’s opening on Saturday June 10th during the Back Yard BBQ, and cast their votes for Best in Show. With so many beautiful works, it was a difficult choice! As one visitor commented, “You can only vote for one?” Competition was rigorous!
Final results: Incoming Tide, by Diane Reed Sawyer won Best of Show, with runners up A Walk in the Woods by Laurinda O’Connor in 2nd and At the End of the Road by Susan Wright in 3rd place.
