Driver In Milton Crash Admitted To Heroin Use: Police
A car went off the road near Milton Academy early Saturday morning.
MILTON, MA – The woman behind the wheel of a car that went off the road in Milton and struck a tree and a fence admitted to using heroin prior to the crash, police said. Police responded to the single-vehicle crash on Randolph Avenue near Milton Academy around 5:40 a.m. Saturday morning.
The responding officer found at least one syringe in the passenger glove compartment that appeared to have been recently used, according to police. The driver, who was not named but identified as a Plymouth resident, allegedly told police she used heroin before the crash.
She was taken to to the hospital and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, operating to endanger, unlicensed operation and a marked lanes violation. The woman was later charged with assault and battery after she allegedly punched and kicked a member of the hospital staff.
